WASHINGTON – Following the federal court’s ruling against Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin’s efforts to remove non-citizens from the voter rolls, RNC Chairman Michael Whatley released the following statement:
“Governor Glenn Youngkin followed the law, cleaned up Virginia's voter rolls, and removed self-identified non-citizen voters. But today, we saw the worst of judicial activism: 11 days before Election Day, a liberal judge ordered Virginia to keep non-citizens on its voter rolls. Democrats have allowed an invasion of non-citizens at our southern border, refused to protect our elections from non-citizen voting, and are now weaponizing the Department of Justice against Virginia voters. This is election interference -- we stand behind Governor Youngkin and are committed to ensuring only Americans decide American elections."
