“Today we reflect on the high cost of freedom and pause to remember the men and women who were willing to pay it all,” said Chairwoman McDaniel. “We honor the heroes throughout our nation’s history who sacrificed their very lives so we can live in a country that is safe and free. May God bless those who died defending liberty and our American way of life. Let us never forget them or their families, for whom every day is Memorial Day.”
