WASHINGTON – Today, Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel released the following statement on rising gas prices as Americans drive into Memorial Day weekend:
 
“As we head into Memorial Day weekend, Americans are feeling the pain at the pump more than ever. Not only are gas prices at record highs but they are up a historic 51% from last year’s holiday. As families try to beat the heat, they can’t ignore the toll taken on their wallets. There is no vacation from Bidenflation.”

  • Despite record high gas prices, Joe Biden has claimed America is going through an “incredible transition.” 
  • The average price for gas during Memorial Day weekend is expected to hit $4.65 a gallon – a 51% increase since last year. 
  • The average lowest airfare will cost American travelers 6 percent more compared to last year according to AAA.
    • “Mid-range hotel rates have increased about” 42 percent.
