RNC Statement on New Hampshire Senate Primary

Press Release

Washington, D.C. – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Joe Gruters released the following statement on the New Hampshire Senate race:

Congratulations to John Sununu. Chris Pappas is a weak do-nothing Democrat seeking a promotion he did not earn. Pappas has fallen in line with the radical left, voted with national Democrats at every turn, and abandoned New Hampshire. Sununu is a leader with a proven record who will put New Hampshire first, oppose tax hikes, fight for the rights of Granite Staters and is ready to flip this seat.” RNC Chairman Joe Gruters

Pappas:

  • Voted against condemning socialists who want to abolish police, prisons, and borders
  • Voted for higher taxes
  • Voted to defund the police
  • Caused the longest government shutdown in history
  • Was called out by Democrats for accomplishing nothing in Congress
  • Refused to condemn Democrats for campaigning with Hasan Piker — who said “America deserved 9/11”
  • Can’t build consensus among New Hampshire Democrats
  • Has relied on out-of-state Democrats to boost his failing campaign and wants to bring back the failed Biden/Harris agenda
  • Stayed silent on Graham Platner until he became a political liability
