RNC Statement on Obama's White House Visit

Press Release

WASHINGTON - Today, the Republican National Committee (RNC) released the following statement on Joe Biden and the Netflix producer who knows how to lose big in the midterms: Barack Obama. The former president’s return to the White House comes as Biden and Democrats wasted trillions, raised taxes, and are facing widespread backlash for redistributing wealth from working class families to those with graduate degrees:

"The way Joe Biden spends his days - vacations, Democrat fundraisers, and portrait unveilings - shows just how wildly out of touch he is with the problems facing Americans," said RNC Spokesperson Nathan Brand. "Soon, Biden will be able to join the former president in commiserating over a midterm backlash against Democrat failures, something Obama knows all too well.”

Background:

  • July’s Consumer Price Index soared by 8.5 percent compared to last year, remaining at the highest levels in 40 years.
  • In at least six of America’s major cities, all Democrat-run, violent crimes are set to outpace the already historic levels experienced in 2021.
  • After two years of Barack Obama in the White House, Republicans netted 63 seats in the House of Representatives in the 2010 midterms.
  • To compare, Obama's approval was in the high 40s in September of 2010, while Biden's now sits at just 42%.
  • Obama privately admitted that he has low confidence in his former vice president, saying, “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f*** things up.”
