WASHINGTON – Today, Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel released the following statement on the anniversary of the terrorist attack at the Kabul airport that killed 13 U.S. service members:
“Joe Biden’s Afghanistan disaster remains a dark, low point in our nation’s history. One year after Biden’s botched withdrawal that killed 13 U.S. service members, Americans remain heartbroken, infuriated, and without answers. Since the fall of Afghanistan, Joe Biden’s lack of remorse and action proves he puts Americans last and his political interests first. Our country needs real leadership, Americans deserve answers, and our heroes need to be remembered, but unfortunately Joe Biden does not care.”
Today we honor the heroes and families who gave the ultimate sacrifice for freedom. Americans will never forget: Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Darin T. Hoover, Marine Corps Sgt. Johanny Rosario Pichardo, Marine Corps Sgt. Nicole L. Gee, Marine Corps Cpl. Hunter Lopez, Marine Corps Cpl. Daegan W. Page, Marine Corps Cpl. Humberto A. Sanchez, Marine Corps Lance Cpl. David L. Espinoza, Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Jared M. Schmitz, Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Rylee J. McCollum, Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Dylan R. Merola, Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Kareem M. Nikoui, Army Staff Sgt. Ryan C. Knauss, and Navy Hospital Corpsman Maxton W. Soviak.
