RNC Statement on One Year Since Biden's Afghanistan Interview Filled with Lies

Press Release

WASHINGTON – Today, Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel released the following statement on one year since Joe Biden’s interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos, in which Biden repeatedly lied to the American people about his botched Afghanistan withdrawal:

“Biden lied, broke his promises, and his reckless withdrawal led to the death of 13 U.S. service members. A year later, Biden remains just as entitled and out-of-touch – he still has 'no apologies' and refuses to take any responsibility for one of the biggest foreign policy disasters in American history. Americans won’t forget Biden’s lies when they head to the polls in November.”

Today marks one year since Biden had a sit-down interview with George Stephanopoulos where he said, “if there are American citizens left, we’re going to stay until we get them all out.” Biden lied, left hundreds  of Americans stranded behind enemy lines for months, and failed to protect American citizens from becoming hostages of the Taliban
