WASHINGTON,
D.C. – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Joe Gruters
released the following statement after President Trump awarded three
servicemembers the Medal of Honor:
“The
bravery displayed by Master Sergeant Roderick W. Edmonds, Staff Sergeant
Michael H. Ollis, and Command Sergeant Major Terry P. Richardson represents the
very best of the American military,” said Chairman Gruters. “As American
servicemembers confront the Iranian regime’s threats today, this ceremony
reminds us that freedom survives because generations of Americans have answered
the call to defend it — a legacy continued by those defending our nation today.
President Trump is honoring that legacy through decisive action to defend the
United States, even as Congressional Democrats line up to attack the
President’s resolve instead of standing behind the heroic efforts of the men
and women defending our country.”
