Committee (RNC) Chairman Joe Gruters released the following statement after
President Trump secured a deal to force Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz:
“President Trump forced Iran
to the negotiating table and secured a ceasefire agreement that reopens the
Strait of Hormuz and protects America,” said Chairman Gruters. “After
decisive military action, the United States has demonstrated unmatched
strength. By shutting down DHS and blocking funding for our national defense,
Democrats attempted to undercut America’s security. Under President Trump, U.S.
forces wiped out Iran’s military capabilities, eliminated high-level Iranian
leaders, and crippled the infrastructure used to target Americans.”
