WASHINGTON - Today, Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel released the following statement on new data showing that more than 164,000 illegal immigrants were apprehended at the border in October:
"Joe Biden continues to ignore the historic crisis his open border policies have created. In October alone, over 164,300 illegal immigrants were apprehended crossing the border, the highest total for October in the history of the Department of Homeland Security. The numbers do not lie, this crisis is nowhere near under control - under Biden’s watch, more than 1.6 million illegal immigrants have been apprehended at the border. As Biden, Kamala Harris, and the White House continue to lie about the severity of this crisis and do nothing but encourage it, the human costs are being felt by Americans across the country, with cartels and criminals thriving and threatening the safety of our communities.”
