WASHINGTON – Today, following the announcement that Speaker Kevin McCarthy will depart the House of Representatives at the end of 2023, Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel released the following statement:
“It has been an honor to work alongside my friend Kevin McCarthy over the past several years. He is a dedicated public servant and a happy warrior, and we wouldn’t have a Republican House majority without him. I thank him for his leadership and his service to his constituents and our country. While I’m sad to see him go, I wish him all the best in his next chapter.”
