Committee Chairman Joe Gruters released the following statement commemorating
the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terror attacks:
“Tomorrow our country will
reflect on the most horrific day in our nation’s history. Nearly 3,000 innocent
people were killed at the hands of radical Islamic terrorists, and we can never
drop our guard and allow it to happen again. While we honor the victims and
their families, we also recognize the brave first responders who ran toward
danger in the aftermath of the attacks. We thank them for their selfless
bravery and renew our pledge to Never Forget.”
