- Came under fire as a Bucks County Commissioner for counting invalid ballots
- Was wrapped up in an FBI investigation of a pay-to-play scandal during his reign as Falls Township supervisor
- Faced impeachment over allegations of voter suppression, civil rights violations, and contempt of court
- Misused taxpayer dollars by redirecting funds meant to be designated to “remediate the opioid epidemic”
- Endangered students by firing a school resource officer without consulting law enforcement
- Was handpicked by the DCCC weeks before the primary
