THE MAIN THING: Chairwoman McDaniel’s Winter Meeting message: ‘This is our moment’
 

Casting a vision: This week, Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel joined Republican leaders to highlight recent GOP accomplishments and outline a game plan for the midterm elections. 

Momentum Building: The GOP won big in November, making a clean sweep of Virginia’s top elected offices and winning races from Buffalo, New York to deep-blue Seattle. This momentum will only build in the coming months thanks to early efforts like: 

• Engaging with minority voters and opening community centers to reach new voters. 
• Restoring faith in our electoral system by making it easier to vote and harder to cheat. 
• Fighting for a presidential debate format that is fair and serves the interests of the American people.

Thanks to Biden’s failed policies, the case for Republican leadership has never been more clear. Biden has put Americans last at every turn:

• Rising prices for everyday goods 
• Empty shelves because of a supply chain crisis 
• A sluggish economy crippled by Democrats’ job-killing policies 
• Dangerous streets as violent crime surges all over America  
• A border crisis that’s allowing illegal migrants and lethal drugs to pour into our country 

It’s no wonder there’s been record growth in red states as Americans flee Democrat-run states for those with Republican leadership. Americans know Republican policies work. 

“This is how we put our country back on track,” said Chairwoman McDaniel. “We will save the America we know and love. This is our moment. We know our mission. We will prevail.”
 

Biden’s Economy Leaving Americans Behind
 

 
The January jobs report shows Biden hasn’t delivered what he promised.

• The unemployment rate has only increased in two months since the recovery began, both of which were under Biden. 
• Hundreds of thousands fewer jobs were created in 2021 than what Biden promised.
• Gas prices have reached a new 7-year, Biden-era high

Higher Prices, Lower Wages: Americans face historically high inflation, decreasing real wages with no relief in sight. 

• It is no wonder only one percent of Americans view the economy as “excellent” while 75 percent view the economy as “not so good” or “poor.”

Republican-led states are the ones creating jobs and leading the economic recovery.

• Through December, 16 of the top 20 states for jobs recovered since the pandemic began are led by Republican governors.
• 16 of the top 20 states with the lowest unemployment rates are led by Republican governors.

"Joe Biden’s economy is leaving Americans behind and the January jobs report shows that there are millions less jobs than he promised. Hardworking Americans are facing historically high inflation, decreasing real wages, and record high gas prices, but Joe Biden doesn’t care,” said Chairwoman McDaniel. 

• Republican governors and legislatures will continue to reject Biden’s disastrous agenda and support American small businesses, families, and workers.”

RNC Celebrates Black History Month

Kicking off Black History Month: The Republican National Committee (RNC) is launching a five-figure television, digital, and print ad buy for Black History Month.

• The ad buy includes a 30-second commercial that will air on the Black News Channel 50 times over the course of the month. The buy also includes digital and print ads that will run in seven Black newspapers nationally and locally in battleground states, including Florida, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, Ohio and Georgia.

“This month, we honor the rich contributions of Black Americans throughout our country’s history. Through their patriotism and perseverance, Black Americans have triumphed over injustice and enriched our Party and our nation,” said Chairwoman McDaniel.

•  “As the Party of freedom and opportunity, Republicans remain committed to championing inclusive conservative policies that empower and promote opportunity, liberty, and justice.”

Long-term Engagement: The RNC’s holistic approach to engaging with voters and investing in communities is part of Chairwoman McDaniel’s long-term engagement vision. 

• So far, RNC Black American Community Centers have opened in Cleveland, Ohio; Milwaukee Wisconsin; College Park, Georgia; Jacksonville, Florida; Greensboro, North Carolina; and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 

Democrats have long taken the Black vote for granted, but that’s changing. Republicans look forward to taking our message of economic prosperity, educational opportunity, and safe communities to new voters in the months ahead. 
 

Biden’s Crime Crisis: Americans are Less Safe

Biden does not denounce Democrats, including members of his own administration, that call to defund the police and implement soft on crime—he embraces them. 

• Biden named defund-the-police advocates to his administration. 
• Biden said first responders in states like New York should be fired under Democrat vaccine mandates. 
• Harris argued for reducing the number of police officers on the street. 
• Biden has refused to condemn pro-criminal policies in Democrat-run cities (for more, click here).  

“Joe Biden and Democrats’ soft-on-crime policies have emboldened criminals in Democrat-run cities across the country,” said Chairwoman McDaniel.

• “Americans are less safe because of Democrats’ failed leadership, and until Joe Biden condemns dangerous policies and anti-police rhetoric from Democrats like Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, he is complicit in the crime surges across the country.” 

Reality Check: A new Gallup poll found American’s dissatisfaction with crime policy is at a 21-year-high, with 72% of Americans being totally dissatisfied.
