2 million – that’s how many illegal immigrant encounters experts expect this fiscal year. That would be the most on record, and the first time encounters have passed 2 million in a single year.
For context, Houston’s population is 2.38 million. And that does not even include the more than 800,000 illegal immigrant “gotaways” who have escaped into the U.S. since Biden took office.
What does that 2 million number mean? Cities running out of resources, tens of thousands of illegal immigrants released into the country, the worst humanitarian crisis at the border on record, and a surge of drug smuggling as cartels and gangs profit.
New York and Washington, D.C. insisted they were overwhelmed seeing just a fraction of the number of migrants that border communities see every day. Border towns have been dealing with the surge for 17 straight months, and Biden’s border crisis is only getting worse.
