It’s been two months of chaos at the border since Kamala Harris was named border crisis manager.
If it wasn’t clear before, it is now – Joe Biden’s agenda is open borders.
Although Biden has falsely claimed, “we’ve now gotten control,” anyone looking at the numbers can see through his gaslighting. Border encounters have continued to skyrocket, up 944% in April when compared to last year.
Biden’s inhumane policies have encouraged smugglers to abandon children at the border. Due to the staggering number of crossings, HHS had to divert $2 billion from its emergency stockpile and coronavirus funds to care for unaccompanied children.
Overwhelmed border officials have been forced to release over 61,000 illegal immigrants since February, with the monthly number spiking in March and April. Many illegal immigrants were released without even a notice to appear in court. Meanwhile, ICE deportations in April were at their “lowest monthly level on record” because Biden is purposefully tying the agency’s hands.
And those are just the illegal immigrants that were caught and released. Officials estimate 1,500 illegal immigrants escaped into the U.S. per day in April, up from 1,000 per day in March. If those estimates hold, that means as many as 88,000 illegal immigrants have escaped into the U.S. unpursued just since Harris was named border crisis manager.
As more illegal immigrants escape into the U.S., criminal activity has spiked. Many Americans living in border communities are afraid to leave their homes, CBP has seized more fentanyl so far in 2021 than in all of 2020, there’s been a rise in migrant maritime rescues from human smuggling incidents, and MS-13 gang members are exploiting the crisis to slip across the border.
As this crisis rages, Biden and Harris can’t even be bothered to visit the border. The administration doesn’t even think there is a crisis. In response to the growing costs of the border crisis Biden created with his policies, all the administration has done is laugh.
