212,672: Biden's border superspreader

DHS Secretary Mayorkas just announced the number of illegal immigrants encountered at the border in July – 212,672 illegal immigrants, a 13% increase over June and a new 21-year high.

What does that mean on the ground? A security, public health, and humanitarian catastrophe.

Shocking new video revels the depths of the crisis:

What’s Biden’s solution? To release COVID-positive illegal immigrants into local communities. McAllen, Texas was forced to set up emergency tent shelters to deal with the influx. And now, Laredo, Texas officials tell the Washington Examiner that 40% of the illegal immigrants released by the Biden administration tested positive for COVID.

And as Biden turns a blind eye, communities are crying out for help:

  • Democrat Mayor of Laredo Pete Saenz: “Border Patrol is overwhelmed in the McAllen, RGV area, that they’re busing migrants to our city to be processed. We’ve had no other choice but to actually – the city of Laredo proper – basically transporting these folks further north because we can’t handle it here. The NGO capacity is very limited. Whatever migrants were being received here would easily create or cause the NGO to be quarantined. And then of course Border Patrol keeps on dumping more and more migrants. And we can’t handle them. So we’re just busing them out.”
  • Republican Mayor of McAllen Javier Villalobos: “It Is very burdensome for our county, our city,” “I totally agree” Biden’s border crisis is a problem now for the health and safety of America.
  • Catholic Charities Director Sister Norma Pimente on the “overwhelming” number of COVID-positive migrants: “It got to a point where that space is not even that readily available because there are so many of them.”

In 2019, Democrats took to border facilities in droves, including border czar Kamala Harris. Today, there are no selfies, no press conferences, no protests, no photo ops … just silence from Democrats in Washington.

Biden and Harris have abdicated their responsibility to secure the border. Their crisis is worse than ever and their open borders agenda is making it worse and worse by the month.
