3.1 million illegal crossings

Joe Biden’s DHS just reported the highest number of illegal border crossings in the department’s history.

On Friday, DHS told a federal court that there were 221,303 illegal border crossings in March.

• March’s encounters passed the previous Biden peak set in July, and is the highest number in DHS history.
• There have now been over 2,498,000 illegal immigrant encounters under Joe Biden.
• That does not include the +600,000 “gotaways” who have crossed the border and escaped into the country since Biden took office.
• Over 80,000 illegal immigrants were released into the U.S. last month. During Trump’s last full month, there were only 17.
• March’s encounters were over 4 times the average for March under Trump

When counting encounters and “gotaways,” there have now been more than 3.1 MILLION illegal immigrant crossings since Biden took office. That is larger than the population of 18 states and the city of Chicago.

This crisis is not “seasonal.” Its “root” is not in the Northern Triangle. This is a crisis of Biden’s creation and he needs to stop adding fuel to the fire.
