Rapid Response

How do you measure the impact of a school year on a child? In opportunities lost, futures delayed, and educational quality threatened.

Those are the sacrifices Biden seems willing to make with his embarrassingly weak goal of reopening schools in 100 days despite the growing scientific consensus that schools can safely reopen.

100 days…that’s as much as 500 hours of school missed…500 hours of education that America’s children can’t get back…500 hours when millions of parents can’t work to provide for their families. 500 hours of school lost because Biden does not have the courage to call on Democrat special interest groups to allow schools to reopen.

And now, Biden is backtracking even more. His press secretary insisted his goal simply meant that 50%-plus-one of schools would be open for 1 DAY A WEEK.

1 DAY A WEEK! That’s it? The bar could not be set any lower, and American families, children, and communities will suffer because of it.

Biden should be putting science, families, and children first, not Democrat special interest groups.
