54 Shot in Chicago, But Pritzker Calls It A “Success”

At least 54 people were shot and 8 were killed this past weekend in Chicago, with one neighborhood having two mass shootings in 48 hours. But instead of admitting the city has a serious crime problem, Illinois Democrats are ignoring the bloodshed and blatantly lying about it:

• Illinois Governor JB Pritzker bragged he is “succeeding” at fighting crime
• Rep. Mike Quigley falsely claimed that “crime trends are going down. It’s good news.”
• Illinois Lt. Gov. Juliana Stratton claimed, “there is no emergency here,” and that “ we are making progress here in Illinois and in the city of Chicago.”

Illinois Democrats are gaslighting their own citizens. The truth is Pritzker and far-left Mayor Brandon Johnson refuse to listen to Chicago residents who don’t feel safe and are begging for help: 

• "It's just gone from bad, to worse, to disaster."

• "No one really feels safe. It's impossible to feel safe with a city like this — especially with the leadership we have."

• "These kids are carrying guns like around the ages of 8 years old and they're killing other 8-year-old kids...it’s insane."

• "Their policies when it comes to crime — it's not working at all."

• "More police officers, more protection, that's what the people want."

Instead of asking for help, Democrats like Pritzker are letting their citizens be robbed, raped, and murdered, all while they hide behind their own around the clock security details.
