8 Questions for Mandela Barnes

Tonight, Republican Sen. Ron Johnson and far-left extremist Mandela Barnes meet for a debate in Wisconsin’s U.S. Senate race.

1. Do you still support releasing half of Wisconsin’s prison population, including convicted murderers and rapists?

• Barnes wants HALF of Wisconsin’s inmate population to be released — saying it would “make our communities safer” — and says he “wish[es] we could accelerate” releasing violent criminals from prison.

2. Why are you putting violent criminals before Wisconsin families?

• Barnes is outspoken about wanting to defund “over-bloated” police departments, saying it “pains” him to see fully funded police budgets. Barnes has even said “defunding isn’t necessarily as aggressive as a lot of folks paint it.”
• Barnes also supports abolishing ICE, ending cash bail, and “cutting” corrections budgets.

3. Why are you lying about wanting to defund the police and abolish ICE?

4. Why do you support the job-killing Green New Deal?

• Barnes said the socialist Green New Deal is an “opportunity” to “change the economy.”
• Not only does Barnes support the socialist Green New Deal, but he also wants to take it even further.

5. Why do you support unrestricted abortion-on-demand until birth?

6. Why do you not support Americans’ Second Amendment rights?

• Barnes has said he “really could not care less about a Second Amendment ‘right.’”

7. Why did you downplay the violent, destructive 2020 riots?

8. Why did you call the founding of America "awful" and say you are "still waiting...for America to be great"?
