8 Takeaways From Special Counsel's Report
Jake - Schneider

Today’s report from the special counsel investigating Biden’s mishandling of classified documents was nothing less than catastrophic for the Biden administration.

Here are our top eight takeaways — so far:

  1. Biden did, in fact, “willfully” retain and disclose classified materials, including classified documents related to national security and “sensitive intelligence sources and methods,” in his home, garage, and office for decades — and knew about it.

  2. In 2017, Biden gave classified documents to a ghostwriter penning his memoir — who had never held a security clearance — and warned the ghostwriter to “be careful” because “some of this may be classified.” Biden’s ghostwriter later destroyed a recording of their conversation after learning a special counsel had been appointed.

  3. Biden lied to investigators when he “said he did not remember finding marked classified documents at any time after the end of the Obama administration.”

  4. Biden kept classified documents — including documents related to the war in Afghanistan and documents “marked at the highest top secret/sensitive compartmented information level” — in his garage in “damaged” and “opened” containers near a dog crate and a broken lamp wrapped in duct tape.

  5. Biden viewed his classified documents “as highly private and valued possessions with which he was unwilling to part.”

  6. Biden was unable to remember “when he was vice president” and “when his son Beau died” during his interview with the special counsel, in which he exhibited “diminished faculties” and “significant limitations.”

  7. Biden’s lawyers asked the special counsel to “revisit” and “revise” the report’s descriptions of Biden’s memory.

  8. The special counsel won’t charge Biden with a crime because he is a “well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory” who “would be well into his eighties.”

Despite unlawfully possessing classified documents for years and repeatedly lying about it, Biden is too diminished to face any consequences.

That’s the double standard of justice — and a scandal.
