That is in direct contradiction to the argument his administration has been making for months, including Kamala Harris, who said 4 days ago that the threat of sanctions will “absolutely” deter Putin making the decision to invade.

Why waive sanctions on Nord Stream 2? Why not enact them earlier? Why not sanction Putin when Biden knew he was set on invading? Why won’t he sanction Putin? Why won’t he sanction Russian energy production? It’s a concerning contradiction from Joe Biden when America can least afford it.
