It’s true that “the actions of the [Biden] administration and [a Democrat] Congress have undoubtedly resulted in higher deficits, not smaller ones.” But what gets less attention is how Biden has forced American families into debt as well.
According to reporting from The Washington Post, more than 20 million Americans are behind on their utility bills and nearly 25 million are behind on their credit card payments, auto loans, or consumer finance loans.
These are the highest levels since the Great Recession. Why? Inflation on essential items is a primary driver. 48% say the rising costs of necessities has directly impacted their lifestyle, while almost a quarter of Americans now say they have no emergency savings at all. Further, almost 60% of Americans say they are poorer than a year ago.
Joe Biden is not just forcing our government further into debt, but American families as well.
