A new definition of a "secure border"

Rapid Response

Failed DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas unveiled a new definition of a “secure border” this weekend: “It is maximizing the resources that we have available to us to deliver the most effective results.”

Mayorkas insists the border is “secure.” It is not:

  • Over 1.3 million “gotaways” have crossed the border and escaped into the U.S. since Joe Biden took office.
  • Mexican cartels are smuggling fentanyl into the U.S. and “killing Americans with fentanyl at catastrophic and record rates like we have never seen before.”
  • The U.S. government is so overwhelmed it has essentially “become the middleman in a large scale, multi-billion-dollar child trafficking operation that is run by bad actors seeking to profit off of the lives of children."

If this is what Mayorkas considers “effective results,” he should resign.
