A Record June for Open Borders

In case you missed it, Customs and Border Protection apprehended 207,416 illegal immigrants at the southwest border in June.

The Biden administration tried to bury this MASSIVE number in a late Friday night news dump. Some context:

• That is the highest number for June on record.
  • It’s also a 527% increase over June 2020.
• Illegal crossings have been above 150,000 for 16 straight months.
• There have been over 200,000 illegal crossings for 4 months in a row.
• There have been more illegal crossings so far in FY 2022 than in all of FY 2021, which was one of the worst years on record.
• 800,000 “gotaways” have escaped into the U.S. since Biden took office.
• 207,416 crossings does NOT include the tens of thousands of illegal immigrants who have escaped into the country unapprehended.

Why the record-breaking border crisis? Biden reduced prosecutions for illegal crossings by 80% in FY 2021, tied the hands of ICE leading to 90% fewer deportations, and is granting “de facto amnesty” to 1 million illegal immigrants by 2024.

The cause of this crisis is clear – Biden’s dangerous open borders policies.
