Stacey Abrams has supported organizations pushing to defund the police. That is a fact. Abrams can’t escape it no matter how much she spins, lies, or tries to rewrite history.
In case you missed it, Abrams is on the board of the Marguerite Casey Foundation which actively supports defunding the police. She was even PAID by the foundation.
And to clear up any confusion, the group is NOT SHY about their position. The foundation’s president vocally supports defunding the police, and the foundation itself actively tweets out #DefundThePolice and #AbolishThePolice. In fact, here are a few of the days the organization tweeted out those hashtags in just the last few months:
Abrams herself said she is in favor of reallocating resources away from the police and voted to expand the group’s anti-police funding allocations and advocacy.
So Abrams serves on the board, gets paid, and voted to increase anti-police efforts, but she claims she doesn’t support defunding the police? Yeah right. She’s either a hypocrite, a liar, or both.
