Alarming reporting on Loudoun County, VA

New reporting from the Daily Wire and Fox News shows far-left Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) officials lied to parents about a sexual assault that occurred at a Virginia high school.

This story is horrific, and calls into question the willingness and ability of activist Democrat school board officials to keep kids safe.

What we know:

• During a school board meeting on June 22, the LCPS superintendent said the school system had no record of any assault in any school bathroom.
  • However, public school emails, government officials, and court proceedings indicate there was an alleged sexual assault at an LCPS high school on May 28.
• After the school board meeting, the National School Boards Association (NSBA) suggested that the altercation and arrest of the victim’s father at the meeting could be a form of “domestic terrorism.”
  • Following the NSBA writing to the Department of Justice, Biden’s Attorney General Merrick Garland opened an FBI probe into parents.

Democrats in the Virginia General Assembly have passed a bill that would “remove requirements for school officials to report serious crimes to law enforcement.” LCPS officials have tried to intimidate and “doxx” concerned parents. Terry McAuliffe has already made clear that he does not want parents to be in charge of kids’ education, saying: “I don't think parents should be telling schools what they should teach.”

This reporting raises extremely serious questions. Why did the school board lie to parents? Why was Biden’s DOJ so quick to probe parents instead of investigate whether school officials were attempting to cover up instances of sexual assault?

Above all, this makes clear why it is so important to listen to students and parents, and why families should be empowered to be in charge of their kids’ education and schooling.

Virginians deserve answers from Virginia Democrat officials, and Americans deserve answers from Biden’s DOJ.
