Why are Democrats threatening a default to obstruct commonsense proposals that the vast majority of Americans support?
Take work requirements for example. According to a new Axios poll, 63% of Americans support work requirements like the ones Republicans are proposing.

Reminder: These work requirements would only apply to able-bodied Americans with no dependents. Americans say that’s commonsense, Biden used to agree.

In fact, the Republicans’ responsible package to raise the debt limit and rein in reckless spending is full of commonsense proposals Biden has supported and applauded.
After 100 days, Biden is finally at the negotiating table. It’s time he stops obstructing.
