Joe Biden said he would meet with Republicans on the debt limit. So far, he has refused to even schedule a meeting.
Speaker Kevin McCarthy called out Biden today, both in a letter and on CNBC, for his obstruction on the debt limit.
.@SpeakerMcCarthy calls out Biden on the debt limit:

“He has misled the whole Congress and the country… told the entire Congress that we're going to meet. At the Democratic retreat, he told the Democrats that they were planning meetings. He's never had one meeting” pic.twitter.com/kJ8XNGTGJD
Republicans are arguing for – and Americans expect – that any debt limit increase be a responsible one that addresses our soaring national debt. Biden used to agree. In fact, he praised negotiations on the debt limit — calling them essential because there can’t be a “my way or the highway” approach. He even voted against a clean increase at least 9 times.
Now, he is nowhere to be found on actually discussing the debt limit – he simply gaslights his way through misleading speeches and tweets. It’s yet another failure of leadership from Joe Biden that Americans simply can’t afford.
