Meet Raymond Johnson — a career criminal who cold-bloodedly lured a man to a house, shot him, stabbed him, robbed him, and then disposed of his dead body.
Johnson — who referred to himself as “a son of the devil” — was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison.
In 2019, John Fetterman voted to commute his sentence — and Johnson is back on the street as a result.
Was it Johnson’s first murder? Not according to one witness, who said Johnson bragged about how “he had killed several people” as a hitman before being caught. A Deputy Sheriff also testified under oath that Johnson threatened to kill an accomplice if he testified against him.
Giving violent criminals a break is what Fetterman does best. He has bragged about helping pardon more criminals “than every administration in Pennsylvania history combined.” In fact, since March 2020, the Wolf-Fetterman administration has released at least 8,300 inmates. Fetterman even voted to release a convicted murderer who shot a teenager for heroin money.
And Fetterman isn’t done yet; he wants to release one-third of inmates and eliminate life sentences for convicted murderers. That’s his top priority.
