Another China-linked company getting Biden bucks

Rapid Response

The list of countries benefiting from Biden’s clean energy “transition” is growing, just not the ones you’d want. When we say benefiting, we mean literally benefiting from American tax dollars.

  • Last week, The Washington Free Beacon revealed that the Biden administration gave a $200 million grant to a lithium battery company that primarily operates out of China.
  • Now today, The Free Beacon reports that “Biden’s Energy Department funneled millions of dollars to a green energy company [LanzaTech] in the months after the company partnered with a Chinese state-owned entity that it acknowledges could face business-crippling sanctions.”

Specifically, LanzaTech partnered with “Sinopec Capital—the clean energy investment arm of the Sinopec Group, a Chinese state-owned oil conglomerate also known as the China Petrochemical Corporation…which China has used to purchase oil from U.S.-sanctioned nations such as Russia and Iran.” The company itself recognized the perilousness of the partnership.

So China, Iran, and Russia rake in the big bucks while American workers are forced out of work. If that’s the “transition” Biden is offering, he can keep it.
