Another Inflation Disappointment

Rapid Response

Today’s Consumer Price Index was Biden’s latest disappointment. Inflation is up 3.2 percent over last year and remains double what it was when Biden took office. Core inflation — stripping out food and energy costs — rose by four percent over last year and remains double the Fed’s long-term target.

Under Biden, inflation has averaged 5.9 percent — more than double the level of inflation under any of the last four presidents.

American consumers are bearing the brunt of Biden’s sluggish economy. Since Biden took office, Americans have seen a 17.6 percent price hike, with food prices up 20.9 percent, rent up 18 percent, and electricity up 24.7 percent. That’s coupled with a three percent pay cut as real wages remain lower than when Biden took office.

Those are just a couple of the reasons why Americans can’t stand “Bidenomics.”

VOTERS: “Man, this economy sucks!”

BIDEN CAMPAIGN: “No, it doesn’t — now give us four more years.”
