“At the direction of the DOJ"

Rapid Response

Did Biden Department of Justice officials interfere in the investigation of Hunter Biden? Did the DOJ retaliate against the whistleblower for sounding the alarm? The more we hear from the Hunter Biden whistleblower, the more pressing and concerning these questions become.

In an interview with CBS News, the whistleblower said he witnessed “multiple steps that were slow walked at the direction of the Department of Justice.” When asked if he had “ever encountered that before,” he said “I have not, no.”

For those needing a recap:

  • According to The Wall Street Journal, “An IRS supervisor has told lawmakers he has information that suggests the Biden administration is improperly handling the criminal investigation into President Biden’s son, Hunter Biden.”
  • The report continued: “A letter sent to Congress …. says a career Internal Revenue Service criminal supervisory special agent has information that would contradict sworn testimony by a ‘senior political appointee.’” According to CBS News, that appointee is Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland.
  • After the initial reports, the New York Post reported that “the IRS …. removed the ‘entire investigative team’ from its long-running tax fraud probe of first son Hunter Biden in alleged retaliation against the whistleblower who recently contacted Congress to allege a cover-up in the case … The purge allegedly was done on the orders of the Justice Department.”

Reminder: there is a mountain of evidence that suggests Biden not only knew about but was involved in his family’s influence peddling – including text messages, emails, a voicemail, visitor’s logs, photographs, and on-the-record accounts.

“At the direction of the Department of Justice” … those words keep coming up, and that should concern every American who values a fair, transparent, and blind justice system.
