Baby formula still out of stock

Rapid Response

9 MONTHS after the Biden administration was warned about a looming baby formula shortage, The Wall Street Journal reported today that availability of powdered baby formula “dropped to the lowest level so far this year” earlier this month. According to the Journal, “out-of-stock levels remain higher than in recent months, and shortages remain acute in states including Alaska, Utah and Wyoming.”

But what’s Biden’s priority? Going on vacation. He has gone on 41 Delaware vacations since last October. By contrast, he has only publicly remarked on the shortages 3 times. And during the first of those comments in May, he stressed how he wasn’t a “mind reader” so he wasn’t responsible.

That’s especially concerning given that White House partners are saying “[w]e are months — months — away from an end to these shortages.”

In fact, as Politico reports, “[e]ven some aides within the White House wonder why Biden didn't fire anyone … to demonstrate some accountability or at least anger over the baby formula debacle.” Maybe he’s too busy constantly going on vacation. Meanwhile, the crisis is getting worse.
