The Biden administration must know that if there is a default, Democrats would be to blame. Why else would they be so desperately trying to rewrite history?
During today’s press briefing, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre astonishingly insisted, “the president's been trying to engage with Republicans for months now.”

That’s a lie and everyone knows it. Joe Biden explicitly refused to negotiate on the debt limit for months despite direct appeals from Speaker Kevin McCarthy. In fact, Karine Jean-Pierre said Biden was refusing to negotiate multiple times herself from the White House podium.
Joe Biden has been stubbornly driving this country towards default for months. Instead of insultingly attempting to rewrite history, Biden should stop obstructing and actually do his job.
