Biden Crime Spin Is Exactly That

f you ask Crooked Joe Biden or his handlers, they’ll say they fixed the crime problem plaguing American cities.

As usual, they’re completely wrong.

Here’s what Biden won’t tell you: A third of police departments — including some of the biggest U.S. cities — stopped reporting their crime data to the FBI in 2022, creating “the most incomplete picture of national crime since the FBI began collecting data in the 1930s.”

In other words, Biden is relying on highly incomplete data to make inaccurate claims — telling Americans not to believe their lying eyes. A much more accurate picture emerges from the DOJ’s National Crime Victimization Survey.

• FACT: Crime is way up compared to pre-pandemic levels.

  • Violent crime shot up 44 percent between 2021 and 2022.
  • Violent crime in urban areas rose 58 percent between 2019 and 2022 — with a 73 percent spike in “serious violent crimes.”
  • Violent crimes against young people doubled between 2021 and 2022.
     

• FACT: The homicide rate was higher in 2023 than before the pandemic.

  • In most cities, murder rates remain higher than pre-pandemic levels.
     

• FACT: Vehicle thefts hit near-record highs in 2023.
   

• FACT: Property crimes jumped by 14.5 percent between 2021 and 2022.

The true numbers are likely much higher; fewer than half of all “violent victimizations” were reported to law enforcement in 2022, according to the DOJ.

Meanwhile, Biden has created an entirely new category of crime all on his own — Biden Migrant Crime.
