In today’s hearing, McKenzie said point blank, “I recommended that we maintain 2,500 troops in Afghanistan…I also have a view that the withdraw of those forces would lead inevitably to the collapse of the Afghan military forces, and eventually the Afghan government.” Milley said he recommended similar.
Press Secretary Jen Psaki was asked to back up Biden’s claim that military advice was “split” in today’s press briefing – she could not. She was asked to point to a military commander that backed Biden – given that the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the commander of CENTCOM, and the commander on the ground in Afghanistan all advised against – and she could not.
Unfortunately for the Biden administration, nobody is buying their lies anymore – including former Obama officials.

Biden promised to accept responsibility while running for president, but now he is doing everything he can, including doubling down on outright lies, to avoid it.
