Biden Has Never Taken Classified Information ‘Seriously’

On the rare occasion Joe Biden does address his classified document scandal, his pre-written statement always makes the same point: he takes classified information “seriously.”

But that’s never been true.

Biden has a history of mishandling classified information going all the way back to the 1980s.

• In 1986, Biden bragged he “twice threatened to go public with covert action plans by the Reagan administration” if he disagreed with them.
   
• In 2009, Biden accidentally divulged the existence of a secret, classified bunker under the residence of the vice president.
   
• In 2013, Biden openly displayed a “codeword” classified binder in front of reporters in the Oval Office.

Someone who takes classified information “seriously” wouldn’t have “no regrets” about leaving hordes of classified documents — including some from his Senate days — strewn about his home, office, and garage.

Even the White House press secretary couldn't offer a single example of Biden demonstrating how “seriously” he takes classified information.

But fear not, Biden will continue to trot out this pathetic lie — because that’s what he does.
