BIDEN: "Hush Up, Boy"

Joe Biden marked Eid al-Fitr with a celebration at the White House last night — and it did not go well.

In a span of just 20 minutes, Biden:

• Told an audience member to “hush up, boy!” after pointing out the first and only Muslim federal judge was in the audience.
• Referred to the Quran — the Muslim holy book — as the “quorum.”
• Said he would get in trouble for calling “Congressman” Ilhan Omar “beautiful.”
  • "Where are you, Congressman Omar? There you go. God love you! I’ll get in trouble for saying this, but you look beautiful tonight.”
• Struggled to pronounce NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s name.
  • “And the cheer for Musl— we cheer for Muslim athletes, like Kareem Al-J—Al-J— Abdul-Jabbar”

It was familiar territory for Biden, whose five-decade political career has been littered with casual racism. It won’t be part of the official record, however; the White House transcript of the event largely covered up his offensive comments.

So where is the outrage from Democrats and their backers in the press? Non-existent, of course, because Democrats play by different rules.
