Biden in hiding

For the first time in more than 77 days, Joe Biden is holding a press conference. But today’s event will surely be only a temporary reprieve to Biden’s historic refusal to answer questions about his failures.

In 2021, Biden became the least transparent president in modern history:

• Biden conducted just nine news conferences between January 20 and December 31, 2021 – far fewer than any of his six predecessors.
  • By comparison, Trump did 22 in 2017 and Obama did 27 in 2009.

During the same period, Biden did just 22 press interviews.

• By comparison, Trump did 92 in 2017 and Obama did 156 in 2009.
• Three of Biden’s interviews were puff pieces, three were with print media, and most involved Biden appearing to read the answers from his teleprompter – but all were disasters.
• Biden was outpaced by Jill Biden, who did at least 23 interviews, and Kamala Harris, who did at least 56 interviews during the same period.

We already pointed out the Hider-in-Chief's historic lack of accessibility to the press; between September 1 and December 31, there were 61 days where Biden ignored the press entirely.

Perhaps Biden has been hiding, or perhaps he has just given up; we may never know. But what we do know is Biden’s failures are dangerous for the American people, and he just doesn’t care.
