Is Joe Biden following the science on schools? As if.

According to a bombshell new report by the New York Post, emails between the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) and Biden’s CDC suggest that the special interest group directly influenced the CDC’s guidance on reopening schools.

“The lobbying paid off. In at least two instances, language ‘suggestions’ offered by the union were adopted nearly verbatim into the final text of the CDC document.”

Disturbingly, the AFT, under the leadership of Randi Weingarten, is ignoring the science and LEADING the push to keep millions of children from attending in-person classes.

Biden received donations from and campaigned with the group, and now they have input and influence into Biden’s CDC guidance.

This report is part of a pattern of months of confusion and slow walking from the Biden administration on schools.

Just over the past few days:

• White House Adviser Anita Dunn refused to back reopening schools by FALL and dodged when asked if Biden would stand up to Democrat special interest groups making unscientific demands.
• Jill Biden refused to call on teachers unions to allow schools to reopen, claiming that “it depends.” An educator should know better.

The science shows that keeping schools closed has devastating effects on the mental health, social and economic situation, and academic achievement of children.

But with Biden, it’s special interests first, American families last.
