Biden is shutting down the country, not the virus

 Joe Biden promised to “shut down the virus, not the country.”

But almost a year into his presidency, Biden has not “shut down” COVID. He refused to even order enough tests. Yesterday, the U.S. registered 1 million COVID infections in 24 hours, “doubling the figure from just four days ago and setting a global record.”

And as a result, the country is shutting down instead:

• Businesses are closing.
• Thousands of flights are being canceled.
• New York office buildings are empty.
• Democrat politicians are trying to close schools, using Biden’s testing shortages as an excuse.

Now the administration is trying to dodge accountability, but this is not our standard, this is Biden’s. He ran on a false promise to “shut down the virus.” He lied, using COVID as a political wedge to drive people apart.

Now, Americans are seeing the full depth of his failure. President Trump handed Biden vaccines, a robust distribution plan, an ever-growing testing capacity, and medical equipment, but still Biden has failed.
