Biden leaves businesses home alone

As Joe Biden goes abroad, his economic policies are squandering the recovery he inherited here at home.                                                       

Following another huge “miss” in the May jobs report, the Labor Department announced yesterday that the number of job openings reached a record high of 9.3 million in April.

What does that mean? Because of Biden’s policies throwing small businesses under the bus, mom-and-pop shops across the country are struggling with a “major shortage of workers:”

• In Beaumont, Texas: “The issue is a lot more serious than people believe it is.”
• In Richmond, Virginia: There’s a “major shortage of workers” for restaurants and their suppliers.
• In Abilene, Texas: Businesses are bearing the brunt of a “national worker shortage.”
• In Bangor, Maine: The dairy industry was forced to employ “11% fewer people compared to last year” because of the “labor shortages” caused by “unusually high unemployment benefits.”

These are not isolated examples. According to expert analysis of the May jobs report, “almost half of small business owners in the month of May said that they were having real problems.” That’s the most small business owners struggling to staff up that the survey “had ever seen.”

 What’s clear: Small businesses cannot compete with Biden’s big government programs that incentivize workers to stay at home, forcing businesses to limit hours or close down entirely.

What a world – to make it through the pandemic only to be forced to limit hours because Biden thinks the swamp in Washington can spend your money better than you can.
