Biden: lies over truth

Rapid Response

Joe Biden promised to put “truth over lies,” but as president, he has done just the opposite. And the result is chaos and death.

During a call with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani on July 23, Biden wanted Ghani to “project a different picture” regardless of “whether it is true or not.” Some might call that asking him to lie:

Joe Biden: “You know, I am a moment late. But I mean it sincerely. Hey look, I want to make it clear that I am not a military man any more than you are, but I have been meeting with our Pentagon folks, and our national security people, as you have with ours and yours, and as you know and I need not tell you the perception around the world and in parts of Afghanistan, I believe, is that things aren’t going well in terms of the fight against the Taliban. And there’s a need, whether it is true or not, there is a need to project a different picture.

It’s part of a pattern from Biden and his administration. They pushed ludicrous and disputed assertions about Afghanistan for months. As late as August 14, within 24 hours of Kabul’s fall, the Biden administration was still lying to the American people about the situation on the ground.

WATCH:

Biden didn’t care about the facts. He didn’t care about the Americans he was putting in harm’s way. He cared about his political agenda no matter the cost. Even after the deaths of 13 U.S. service members and hundreds of Americans abandoned, he is still lying and refusing to admit his mistakes.

Biden has lied so often we can’t take his administration’s word. We need to see the full transcript of the phone call so the American people can judge.
