There are many reasons why Americans are fleeing Democrat-led states and moving to Republican-led ones. One of the most important: the economy.
According to the latest state jobs report, ten of the top twelve states with the lowest unemployment rates are led by Republican governors. Eleven of the twelve have Republican legislatures.
Further, eight of the top ten states for jobs recovered since the pandemic began are led by Republican governors. One of those Democrat-run states had a Republican governor until January, and all ten have Republican legislatures.
This progress is in spite of the destructive, inflationary agenda coming from Biden and Democrats in Washington, D.C. Instead of obstructing a responsible debt limit increase to double down on a failing agenda, Biden and Democrats should join Republicans in passing legislation that grows the economy, reins in our inflationary spending, and unleashes American energy.
