Biden on the border: no labels, no problem

Rapid Response

The number of child migrants in custody has tripled over the last two weeks, but the Biden administration is still denying reality.

Thanks to Biden’s policies, the number of illegal immigrants crossing the border is overwhelming Customs and Border Protection (CBP). According to CBP’s February report, there were 100,000 apprehensions in February alone at the border – up from 78,000 in January.

This spike in CBP encounters represents a 28.8% increase from the time Biden took office to date.  So how is the Biden administration responding?

  • Does the Biden administration know their policies increase illegal immigration? Yes.
  • But is Biden recognizing the crisis? “No,” his administration doesn’t like “labels.”
  • How about changing his disastrous border policies? “Nope.”
  • Are they even addressing the crisis today as priority? Not according to Biden’s advisor.
  • Is he at least taking responsibility for the border? Nah, his administration is telling reporters, “It’s not our program.”

Biden is so concerned about semantics that he is willing to ignore the exponentially growing crisis at the border. Just ask the border state Democrats pleading with the Biden administration to change course and take action.

Biden promised to be straight with the American people, but on the border he is doing just the opposite. That’s another broken campaign promise. What’s worse, his failure to secure the border, take responsibility, and recognize the crisis is harming the security of the American people, and especially communities on the border.
