Despite Jen Psaki’s promise three weeks ago that Biden would do a “whole bevy” of interviews to sell his failed agenda, Biden has done zero.
This is no shock. After nearly a year in office, Biden has given “less media access” than previous presidents.
Here are the facts:
- At this point in his presidency, Biden has done far fewer sit-down interviews than his six predecessors.
- Biden has done 11. That’s nearly 50 fewer than Donald Trump, 120 fewer than Barack Obama, and half the number that Ronald Reagan did — even though he was almost assassinated.
- In the last six months, Biden has done only two interviews. In that time, Afghanistan fell, 13 service members were killed, prices surged to the fastest pace in 31-years, border apprehensions reached historic highs, and 200,000 Americans died from COVID.
- His last interview was on November 8 — 30 days ago.
- Biden has also done fewer press conferences than seven of his eight predecessors. The only one who did fewer was Reagan — who, again, was shot.
Americans deserve answers, but Joe Biden refuses to answer questions unscripted. Why?
