According to new reporting from the New York Post, Biden administration officials pressured the mayor of El Paso to downplay the border crisis to avoid coverage of the disaster.
There have been 4.4 million border illegal crossings since Biden took office, including over 900,000 illegal immigrant “gotaways" who have escaped into the country. Drugs are pouring over the border at “record rates,” and border communities are completely overwhelmed. Yet Biden’s priority is not solving the crisis, but the optics. Shame on him.
Border states like Arizona and Texas need governors that stand up to Biden, and Republicans Greg Abbott and Kari Lake are the clear choices. Today’s sham PBS interview in Arizona is a reminder of that. Democrat Katie Hobbs is too terrified to debate. Someone that cowardly cannot be counted on to stand up to Biden or the narco-terrorists at the border.
