So now the Biden administration has resorted to calling the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) “fake.”
Democrats have insisted again and again, including members of Biden’s own administration, that they want to make the spending provisions in Build Back Broke permanent. They’ve even admitted that the time limits placed on the programs are “arbitrary.”
Dems will tell you the CBO score out today showing their proposals have a price tag of $5 TRILLION and would add $3 TRILLION to the deficit is for a fake bill that doesn’t exist.

But they’ve said over and over again that they want to make provisions permanent. Roll the tape: pic.twitter.com/xU3b2aRAi3
We now know how much that costs. According to new analysis from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), the true cost of Biden’s Build Back Broke agenda is more than DOUBLE what Democrats advertised if you strip out their budget gimmicks. Without those gimmicks, CBO says the bill would “increase the deficit by $3.0 TRILLION over the 2022–2031 period.”
Reminder, Biden once called the CBO “the gold standard” in economic estimates.
But now that they’re being called out, Press Secretary Psaki insists we should all forget about what Democrats said for months and that the CBO score is “fake.”
Press Secretary Jen Psaki calls the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office's score stripping out the Democrats' gimmicks "fake."

What's "fake" is Biden's debunked lie that Build Back Broke is "fully paid for." pic.twitter.com/06ZMPURLG8
But even when including the Democrats’ gimmicks, the CBO still found that Build Back Broke adds hundreds of billions to the debt.
So they’ve gone from bizarrely claiming Build Back Broke “costs $0,” to falsely claiming it is “fully paid for,” to now calling the CBO score “fake.”
If the Biden administration wants to discount the CBO, they need to explain what programs, if any, they don’t want to extend, and how they plan to pay for any extensions. Otherwise, it’s just more empty promises, rising prices, and middle class tax hikes from Joe Biden.
